Sandpiper Lounge, (aka The Dirty Bird) was established in 1942 by a small local family, the Harrells. Today, the same family still runs this World Famous bar. After 65 years this classic dive bar hasn’t changed a bit; it’s still dark, a little musty, and lit by only the glow of red candles, and a few strands of Christmas lights.
